296 Par 4, Goddard ("Garbage") Park in East Greenwich. RI.

Blistering hangover, 3 1/2 hour 9 hole round. Hit the piss out of my persimmon driver, running it up past a bunker to six feet of the hole. Easy putt. You can't get the yips when you're hungover.

I was 11 years old. Playing a medium length par 4 at Nashville Golf & Athletic Club. Hit a monster drive for me to about 150 yards out. Hit a 5 iron uphill/blind, spent about 5 minutes looking for the ball at the back of the green and in the side bunker, eventually discovering the ball in the hole!

#11 Pine Hills Golf Course Northeast Pa.

115 yard par 3 STRAIGHT down hill.

I scuff the tee shot it never leaves the ground. Rolls all the way down the hill hits the pin and goes in. Hole in One eagle.

I suck at golf and point out that I have a hole in one to all the donkeys who shoot 30's etc and never had one

In HS, home course, 300 yard par 4 (shortest on the course). I hit a clutch 280-ish yard drive that rolls up to the green.

I drain a 30 footer for 2.

I've eagle'd a few other par fives playing with other people from tees further up than I would normally play.

Missed a double eagle by a foot last week. 540 yd par 5 dogleg right. Cut off the dogleg a bit and flew my driver to 180 where it made a huge pitch mark and checked up. Hit a punch 6 iron under the wind that landed 3' short of the hole right on line, bounced once to 1' short of the hole, and spun back 1'. Made the 2' putt for eagle.

I made my first eagle Saturday afternoon!

420yd 8th hole at Wachusett Country Club in Massachusetts. I hit an awesome drive, dead center to 150 yards out, exactly. They have carts with GPS there, so it was nice to have the exact yardage for my first eagle. I hit a 9 iron, and as soon as I hit it I said, "That's a great shot." Saw it fly right at the pin, land in front and bounce. I then lost sight of it (it wasn't in the cup yet, though, I just lost track), and I said to my buddy "Is it going to run off the green?" as I thought I had hit it too hard. He yells, "IT WENT IN!" Pandemonium breaks loose in my 4-some. I was pretty freaking ecstatic. I'm a 17 handicap, so this was just awesome.

Costa Mesa Golf Course in Orange County.

Happened to come in the best round I've ever had.

Par 4, 380 yds. Smoked driver down the middle and had 120 in. Big green w/ the pin in the back left. Pin was blind because of a big bunker w/ a tall lip and a downslope.
Hit my gap wedge flush and it looked pretty good. I was trying to land it just over the bunker and trickle it down toward the pin. I went exactly where I wanted it, but the back of the green was blind.

After the other guys hit, we made our way up there and I was so pissed bacause I couldn't find my ball. I figured it want over the green into some rough, but we couldn't find it. Finally, some old guy we were playing with found my ball in the cup.

Ended up coming to 17 2 under (I had never broke 80!)
I bogey the par 3 17 and double the par 5 18 for a 1 over 71 (par 70).

Morningstar GC in Indianapolis. 1999. Hole #10, about 500 yards or so. Course has dry fairways that give you about 40 yards of run. Drive down the right side leaving about 200 to go and slightly downhill. Hit a three wood a little thin, lands about 10 yards short of the green, rolls through a 10 foot wide gap that splits the two bunkers guarding the front of the green. Settles about 3 feet away. Easy putt. Brother in law is there too, so I get to gloat the rest of the round....

Can't remember my first eagle. But I do remember my first hole in one. We were sneaking on San Francisco Golf Club on caddy day. I hit a 7 iron it hit on the fringe and ran 40-50 feet right in the hole. Have made four other ones and all were special.
