Re: Recommend a good book, get money
This isn't the best I can come up with, but a book I really enjoyed reading a lot was Corporate Canaries:
http://www.amazon.com/Corporate-Canaries...3543&sr=8-2 It's more for entrepreneurs than anything, but it's easy to read and short. |

Re: Recommend a good book, get money
Illuminatus! by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea. It defies description, but if you have any manner of taste for the surreal and the deviant, it's about the best thing I can imagine.
Also, "The Story of My Life" by Giacomo Casanova is an incredibly engaging read. He wasn't just a womanizer, he was also a gambler, a con artist, a spy, and an all-around adventurer. Finally, nobody has mentioned any Heinlein, so if you haven't read them already, try "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" or "Starship Troopers." |

Lanark by Alasdair Gray
[ QUOTE ] Lanark, subtitled A Life in Four Books, was the first novel of Scottish writer Alasdair Gray, and is still his best known. Written over a period of almost thirty years, it combines realist and dystopian fantasy depictions of his home city of Glasgow. Its publication in 1981 prompted Anthony Burgess to call Gray "the best Scottish novelist since Walter Scott". The book has since won the Saltire Society Book of the Year and David Niven awards, and has become a cult classic. In 2006, The Guardian heralded Lanark as "one of the landmarks of 20th-century fiction." [/ QUOTE ] gogogogo |
