Losing weight is much easier to do than quitting cigs, I've done both. I was able to keep weight off but after quitting smokes for 2 years cold turkey I started up again. Sounds like a sucker bet.

Gary-
If you have to pick two former high level MTG players to back in a big buyin NL tournament which two do you pick?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's a tough question, if only because defining 'high level mtg players' is hard. If I'm picking any two guys who have played in a professional mtg tournament, it's probably Justin Bonomo and Eric Froehlich, with Jon Finkel, Brock Parker, David Williams, Noah Boeken, Ben Stark, Bill Jensen, Eric Kesselman, Alex Balandin, Jon Little (did he play in a pt?), Juha Helppi, Jimmy Fricke and some others all making it into the discussion.

I'll say this; if he had the inclination to prepare appropriately (his other pursuits have been so lucrative that poker's fallen back on his priority list), I'd have to pick Finkel. His mind just operates on a different analytical level.

I am not shocked by this at all and half expected him to come up in your reply even though others obviously have bigger poker results.

Thanks for the answer.

Am I the only one confused as to why this can be considered even remotely ethical? Or is this just accepted as one of the risks/part of playing high limit HU?

The fact that he didnt care after the fact seems irrelevant.

[/ QUOTE ]

well, first of all, it is fairly common practise for people to play on other peoples accounts, whether its because one of them happens to be broke online or if its to get extra action, i can see how that is unethical to some extent, but it is very common

do you consider it unethical to have someone sweating you while you play?

thats really what we were doing, i dont consider that to be unethical at all, its just like getting coached

do you consider it unethical to go to the bathroom and ask your friend to play for you for a minute?

where do you draw the line?

we sweated eachother the whole time, noone came in fresh and rested, if one of us started to frenzy, or had to get up or go somewhere, wed switch, i guess that gives us an edge, i can see how it could be considered unethical, but i dont think its that bad

[/ QUOTE ]

If it is unethical it is bad. Period. This is a weak attempt at rationalizing.

Was Cassidy aware that he was playing against you and Neverwin?

[/ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

[/ QUOTE ]

we told him later, he didnt care, actually through most of the match we were convinced that we were playing ray d. for a number of reasons, but it turned out that it was joe the whole time, definately one of the longest sessions hes ever played

[/ QUOTE ]

I didn't watch the match, but pretty deep into it, I hear Butch started bs'ing in the chat box, something Joe rarely (never?) does. Thoughts?

wise,

Did you not mention Chris Pikula because you don't consider him high-level at MTG or because you don't consider him high-level at poker or both?

For one concerned with grammar, how does one pronounce newhizzle? Is it new-whizzle, like a cop's whistle or is it new-hizzle? The television reporters are going to need to know that.
