I'm more than happy to meet and greet with people, but often when you go to a bar to play pool, people there are drinking alcohol. When people drink alcohol, they sometimes become beligerent and cross the line of what's cool and what's not. For example, I go out with three of my buddies, no not poker players, and we play 2 on 2 pool. Then some random dude decides that he wants in and grabs a cue. You try to explain politely that you are just hanging with your buddies and he starts rambling about how he needs to play with us. Just a FEW games. I say no again, then the drunk dude gets upset. That's when my friends step in and tell the guy it's not cool. Stuff like that has happened several times when I've gone out to bars in the past. Most of the time it's cool, but sometimes you get a guy who totally crosses the line. When I was at the "BOB" in Grand Rapids a couple of guys seemed cool so I ended up playing pool with them and hanging out till closing time. Most of the time it's cool, but if you had to deal with sometimes drunk, beligerant, pushy people, you'd fully understand what I'm talking about. [/ QUOTE ] Okay I take it back.
