at 10NL just call pr and play poker w/ the retards. i dont think your good ever on the river b/c you're the only one at the table that would bluff that river

[/ QUOTE ]

I feel like such a calling station when I play cash, especially online. I'm going to play more cash now and I want to make sure I don't pull the classic lol donkamenters move of playing too high with lol donkament skillz.

I think a lot of retarded stuff bets the river like that. A8, missed overs... a lot of that stuff bets some of the time. I agree I'm behind, but probably not worse than 2.5:1.

[/ QUOTE ]

at 10NL a full stack is almost never raising A8 type hands utg and even more rarely calling a RR. i dont think they are floating w/ overs on the flop either. 10NL is mind-numbingly boring b/c the most profitable way to play is completely straightforward unless you have a read that someone is opening light in EP and likes to make plays in RR pots. They are usually going to be limping AXs type hands and most pairs lower than 99 in the first place also.

Slim,

I generally don't like reraising an UTG raiser readless out of the big blind with 99. I'd rather just call...

I think you're very rarely ahead on the river.

And I'd bet $2 on the flop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Point taken about the reraise preflop. I need to break my brain out of pure preflop hot/cold equity mode and remember I have many, many betting rounds in which to use my superior poker intellect .

$2 it is next time. Again... many betting rounds... deeper stacks.

I think that's been a pretty common criticism of Collin's writing. He presents the mathematical basis of his strategy and then kind of ignores arguments against his "feel" even when it can be very easily quantified. re-staling is very sensitive to the exact fractions of people's opening ranges they call with, and it's rarely less than like 2/3 or so, especially at the lower buy-ins.

Villain had been pretty passive to my steals and had blinded off of late.

I was pretty sure he had over-cards or maybe OESD? He obviously has to get it all in here, and I'm getting 2.5:1 on the call since the button came in. Do we make the call once Button folds?

Table: 13990581 (Real Money) Seat #2 is the dealer
Seat 2 - button ($6847.50 in chips)
Seat 6 - HERO ($5545 in chips)
Seat 8 - Villain ($1107.50 in chips)
HERO - Posts small blind $200
Villain - Posts big blind $400
*** POCKET CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]]
button - Calls $400
HERO - Calls $200
Villain - Checks
*** FLOP *** [4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]
HERO - Checks
Villain - All-In $707.50
button - Folds
HERO ??????

At the time, I thought we were like a 2:1 dog, but in reality, we are more like a 4:1 dog according to PokerStove.
