I hear there's a part of the software that allows you to not see the body of any poster you don't like [/ QUOTE ] I'd like to find the part of the software that allows you to see the body of any poster. Well, some posters anyway... |

[ QUOTE ]
Uh, what? Did you miss the part where I said he wasn't a troll? [/ QUOTE ] heh, I guess you didn't say he was a troll but you did have some other pretty bad things to say about him. That's not really what I object to as much as how much some people here support bans for people they don't like rather then just using ignore. [ QUOTE ] As an aside, I always thought ignore was a tool for the weak. [/ QUOTE ] How come? I think the ignore function is a great tool which helps make reading the forums much more effecient. For instance, being a politics poster I have a sick passion for arguing with people about stuff that neither I nor anyone else involved could influence anyways. However, I don't see any reason to argue with anyone that has shown himself incapable of seeing another persons side of things, or can only post in a inflammitory manner. Not only does ignore allow me to skip their posts, it also stops me from engaging in flame wars (which, from personal experience, are a gigantic waste of time, even for those of us like myself who spend to much damn time on this forum already) with them. It's a win-win. [ QUOTE ] Not reading any of his terrible posts alternating between trolling, stupidity, and his mail-order bride has increased my forum experience a lot, so I'm glad to have it. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly! Anyways, why would you consider using the ignore fuction a tool for the weak? |

tuq=ignored by me [/ QUOTE ] This is false. What is true is you will continue to spam the forums, almost certainly continue to suck, and will get banned again. And almost as certain is that you won't care why you keep getting banned or actually make a concerted effort to become a positive contributor to the 2+2 community. |

Anyways, why would you consider using the ignore fuction a tool for the weak? [/ QUOTE ] Because we should all exhibit enough self control to refrain from being dragged into the mud. In at least that instance I am unable to control myself, thus I am weak. Troll wins, but with ignore at least the "victory" can be marginalized. |
