With the number that high, it's pretty likely that he's unable to fold AK UI as much as he should, and less likely that he's playing overpairs like a total pussy, never raising. I think he raises our bet approx. never, but he'll bet for us a whooooole lot. He can check through 30% of the time and I still think going for the c/r is a better play.

he'd bet the board on previous streets with a pocket pair here. We put villain on AK-AQ.

Given UB's recent changes in points, it might be best not to play at this site.

As played (i.e. being in the hand), I don't mind overlimping PF.

Thanks for your help in this thread, Miles.

Her's my problem with c/r'ing the river. BTN might as well flip over his hand, he's got AK/AQ 100% of the time, and MP doesn't have a 7 or we'd have heard from him on the turn. Unfotunately, BTN is passive (he's so passive, I have enough hands on him in the past week to trust his stats, and yet have no notes on him or recollection of him), and might "smell a rat" and decide to check behind if we check.

On the other hand, I didn't love a bet, because if BTN has hung on this long with AK/AQ, he's pretty likely to raise it when bet to, and fold out MP, which is an undesired result.

(I realize that the above two lines seem contradictory, "too passive to bet when checked to, but likely to raise when bet to," but I don't think they are.)

But, we can make up some we lose by losing MP by 3-betting and being called, so overall a bet/3bet is preferrable.

Ultimate Bet 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

River: (9.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
MP1 checks, Hero bets, Button raises, MP1 folds, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 13.75 BB

My call to close the river action was a misclick, so I let the cat kick me.

All, here's a math assignment: my contention is that Villan is more likely to raise if bet into than bet if checked to. What does the difference have to be to make one right over the other?

Revoked? He asked for this. He's the enforcer that makes sure people post good play alongs. This post show's he's earned it. I'm still not sold on the b/3b line. I didn't think he'd raise us enough on the river, fearing trips, but he'd bet for us almost every time, making us for 9x, TT, or JJ.

he runs his own playalong and he misses a bunch of info. I guess it's better to be the coach than the player...
