Scat Daddy has 4 G1s.
CQ 3, GH 3, Stormello 3, Liquid 3.

Barbaro sure didn't have 3.

Curlin doesn't just have the Apollo jinx, but out of the 43 horses since 1955 who unraced at 2, only 2 even hit the board. Wow.

A little, but I think I know what you mean. The Derby is only for 3 year olds. You're thinking of Curlin who didn't race at all as a 2 year old. See Najdor's post above for the lousy results of Derby horses that were unraced as 2 year olds.

Street Sense is clearly the horse to beat. The 2 has no chance. Great betting race.

I'm liking Great Hunter, but I'm not so sure about his position at 20th

Why? Because horse's Beyers' "bounce." After SS turned in a 102 at Tampa, then bounced down and still damn near chased down Dominica after veering out, I think he'll bounce up and turn in a game performance. He's turned in 2 bullet workouts and has a very cagy trainer. I'm going to box this guy with Scat Daddy. I don't trust that damn Pletcher with Prado. G/L all...
