Decent point that I meant to bring up before.

Reason for bringing so much alcohol to the party in the first place?
Obviously you had no intention of drinking it all.

Yeah I was wondering that. Who brings all that booze to somebodies house not intending to share it or leave it? Is it possible that OP wanted to prove to his mates what an awesome drinker he is, failed miserably, and they just decided to finish it for him?

Edit:

Also, most of you seem to miss the issue here. It's not that the friend drank the vodka, it's that he lied about it. Also, he very probably did not drink that much vodka after he was already drunk. What seems more probable is that he decided to keep the vodka for himself for later, and that is a dick move (at least where I come from). That he offered to buy a new one after he got busted does not change anything. OP has plenty reason to be upset.

This is exactly what I've tried to say all along. Thanks alot! I don't want to discuss this anymore because people obviously get it the whole wrong way.

Obviously you didn't even read my text.

Not understanding specific aspect of your story does NOT mean that they didn't read your text.
It means that your text is incredibly difficult to decipher.

I believe almost everyone responding to this thread only understands a few bits and pieces of whatever it was you were trying to explain from the night in question.

I have to know....

I've only ever gotten like halfway through a 750 of Ketel in one night. I have to know exactly how much Vodka we're talking about before I give anybody credit, Finnish or otherwise, for drinking 16 beers AND two BOTTLES of vodka in one night.

OP - in addition, is it at all possible that in your blacked-out state you drank or spilled or offered to share booze?

please do not ridicule when you do not understand the culture or the social mechanics at work.

[/ QUOTE ]
This is not a cultural thing. There are universal principles of douchebagginess that OP is violating hardcore.

[/ QUOTE ]

posting about it might be pointless but he has every right to be pissed. it is definitely a cultural thing.

[/ QUOTE ]
It saddens me that of all the things American that we have inundated the rest of the world with, we have somehow not managed to spread our culture of leaving the extra booze with the host.
