Re: NBA Mock Draft ver. 2
Brewer shot like 32% from deep this year. Everyone saw him knock down a bunch of threes in the Final Four, but he was likely just running well.
That being said, he will be fine offensively given his athleticism and length. But he's a very average shooter, for sure. -McGee |

Why not Brewer in Seattle? [/ QUOTE ] He can't dribble or shoot. I think he's an OK fit, but he's not the type of player I'm specifically wild about. |

Yes but when your team sucks and it's April 20, what else can you talk about? [/ QUOTE ] QFT I mean, 20 games into the season we were talking Oden in Boston. |

Re: NBA Mock Draft ver. 2
There are only 2 "elite" level players in the Draft, so don't expect that much. I think the draft is deep with big men (4/5s) but pretty shallow when it comes to good 1/2s.

What do you dislike about Noah? I've found that nearly everyone who dislikes him does so because of personal feelings against him. [/ QUOTE ] I love everything about Noah...the way we handles himself, his spirit...he's got a lot of great intangibles that you need on a team. That said, he's still a rich-man's Scot Pollard. |

Re: NBA Mock Draft ver. 2
The average fan is mislead by college players by two things:
1. Closer three point line. People know it's closer, but how much closer doesn't seem to really affect people. People going ga-ga over the latest white guy who can't create his own shot don't realize that Zydrunas Illgauskas and Kevin Garnett would be dangerous 3 point shooters in college. 3. Idiots think that being on a winning team means you are "a winner" or something, that "winningness" is an attribute seperate from "skill at basketball". Since s team with any NBA players will win a lot in college, it's inconceivable to them that a guy who "won" a bunch of games in college wouldn't "win" a bunch of games in the pros. |

I would draft Connelly Jr. in an instant btw.
Also Hawes >>>> Hibbert. |

Guessing the Sonics' pick is pointless, because they're going to shock the lottery and end up with either 1 or 2. Stern will rig that because getting Oden or Durant is about the only thing right now that will get the new area built and keep the franchise in Seattle. (only partially kidding) |

Re: NBA Mock Draft ver. 2
corey brewer will probably be the best NBA player from that florida team. he's an unbelievable defender.
i do not see noah being a productive NBA player. he might make a serviceable role player, but that's about it. his offensive game is borderline nonexistent. i really wish conley would come back for one more year and work on his jumper. i really really do. but that's mostly selfish desire. |

Re: NBA Mock Draft ver. 2
Nolan,
I think Hawes is amazing. His offensive game is pretty polished, and given the chance to work in an NBA weight room and bulk up, his D and rebounding should improve. I was very impressed by him when I saw UW play. I will dry hump my couch if we get Durant. If we get the #1 pick, I hope to [censored] we're not stupid and take Oden (not that I think he won't be good, but Durant is a much much much better fit for this team). |
