Having a notebook is key. I don't play live without a notebook. After about a 100 hands at my weekly home game, I calculate each of my friends VPIP/PFR/AF and place it on a notecard. Then I hand these notecards out to all of my friends and I have them hold the notecards up when they bet.

awesome make sure you do it in a pencil so you can change it easily and be sure to add the correct colors.

Um, why do you bring a notebook if you write notes on your hands? Or do you take the notes on your hands first, then transfer them to the notebook later when nobody is looking?
