EDIT: You can only rip off idiots like Bowden and Sabean so many times in one year before they simply stop doing business with you. Bavasi would be great, but he won't trade intradivision, so he's offlimits. Time for some three-way trades, Beane's specialty!

chris snelling is the kind of player beane would build if he had a fresh mold. langerhans was one of those "meh, ok he's worth more than a PTBNL, but nothing earth shattering". with piazza out for a while, snelling is the type of guy that can make a difference. great move for beane, and it shows two teams in the same division at complete opposite ends of management thinking. mariners never had to trade him in the first place, and currently have vidro batting 3rd and dh'ing. unreal.

(ok he kinda is now, but when M's fan fell in love with him, he was a great prospect).

He is on my fantasy team and will crush because of this

Jack Cust is pure animal.

Pretty happy with the A's record so far considering the injury problems and brutal schedule. Blanton pitching very well. Very concerned about Duchscherer but I think he'll come around soon.
