Brag/Beat Watch - Will my poker study get funded?

Update time on the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF).

BEAT: Word got to me a week after it should have.

BEAT: Study not selected for funding.

FURTHER BEAT: There was another game theory project apparently, which may have been chosen over mine. One that was less hard math and more touchy-feely theoryesque (and the committee probably felt better about giving money to because it didnt involve omg-poker-gambling-baddddddd).


Oh well, I knew this was kind of a long shot to get a committee that hands out universtiy $$$ to even touch anything that mentions the word 'poker'. I guess this means more time to grind the micros this summer till i can make the leap up.

VARIANCE: I make 437534876 dollars this summer from the real poker and laugh all the way to the bank? Maybe?
