Re: Things bad low limit players do
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Cold calling raises even from players they know are tight/aggressive players. EXAMPLES from last Friday night. I raise from mid position with AKs donk calls, flop 45K two hearts, I bet he raises, I call. Turn is 8h, I check, he checks. River is As I check he bets I call he shows K3h, I say nice hand sir. He cold called with K3h! [/ QUOTE ] Bad players miss obvious river check raises and value bets on the turn and flop [ QUOTE ] I haven't played a hand in 40 minutes and raise with AA it gets cold called and then called by 4 more players. Flop comes KT8 with two hearts. I know I'm probably dead but bet and get called 4 ways. Turn is 7s I check, it gets bet and raised so I fold. Riv is 2c and turn raiser bets and shows K8off to take the pot. First cold caller guy showed QT of hearts. [/ QUOTE ] Bad players fail to bet the turn and get pushed off their hands [/ QUOTE ] Bad LAG players like you spew chips and loose racks and racks. You would have lost money on both hands so nice read. I will play patient and always make money. Thank You! [/ QUOTE ] Porky, Hand 1: Please for the love of all thats holy in this world, 3bet the flop. His flop raise screams hearts or weaker king. Make him pay. On top of that once he checks the turn, what hand range do you put him on? He obviously doesn't have a heart draw b/c he woudldn't check the turn after raising the flop. So what range of hands do you put him on in the river? I'd most likely put him on Kx and bet out or at least c/r the river. Why do you put him on a 3? What in his play makes you think THAT is the most likely hand? I woulda 3 bet that flop bet the turn and bet the river. When he raises me on the river, then I've got a decision to make. What you need to realize is what happens when the river is a 4 instead of an A? How many bets did you lose then? Hand 2: You let yourself get pushed outta a perfectly good pot. So what he flopped 2 pair? You're completely results oriented and missing the big picture. You bet the flop and got called by a few people. The board is extremely draw heavy w/an obvious flush draw and possible strait draws so you decided to check b/c you think you're beat? Why? All they've done is call, no reason to think you're behind. Fire again. On top of that, if you are raised, you may even have the outs to draw against 2 pair b/c depending on the draws out there you could have as many as 8 outs or as few as 5. The pot is big and worth fighting for. |

Re: Things bad low limit players do
whenever they discuss the way a hand should be played,
they take other opinions personally. they love to pump up the rake in a split pot raising war. recently i saw a guy betting the river HU with a 7-high str8-flush on board, then calling the raise by the 8. after capping preflop with QQ, they check into a Q-high flop. |

Re: Things bad low limit players do
usually. but it's senseless anyway.
if the river shows A-K-Q-J-X and one bets into the crowd, the next guy with the T always raises to "protect" against potential overcallers. |
