I used to see Harold Reynolds at Charlie's in Bellevue all the time back in the early 90's. X-man was there once or twice too, as was Hendu. Saw John L. Williams at some dump in Redmond that used to have $.84 well drinks on Mondays (can't remember the name...right on Redmond Way/NE 85th at the bottom of the hill. I think it is a Canyon's now).

In all cases I was far too impaired myself to judge how they were doing, but I do remember Reynolds always drinking something non-alcoholic (pretty sure I called him a sissy for it once or twice too, but he took it jokingly as intended).

My friends saw a non-drunk A-Rod at what was then Tropics and now Polyesters (I think).

They all got Flaming Dr. Peppers (set shot on fire, toss into beer, SLAM beer). A-Rod got one, but sipped it, which is pretty much what you would expect A-Rod to do.

Ugh. DaVinci's was a hellish hole. And Polyester's has changed names about 25 more times since I was there last.

We knew the DJ at Da Vinci's. It was an amusing meat market, because all these buffed up dudes would sit around the dance floor acting like they were hot [censored] but we'd actually be the ones dancing with girls.

That said, I don't think the best people in the world went there often.
