folding can't be right here, it's CO vs button and I'm assuming your range is still fairly wide betting the turn (potting a lot of hands preflop, usually c-betting the flop, betting the ace on the turn). Seriously, if you can't call this, what do you need to call.. set or straight??? Like I said, that can't be right...

[/ QUOTE ]

the problem is that Stinger is either way behind or way ahead now but aba most likely has outs. aba is never shoving AQ or KT here so he either has a set, bigger 2pair, straight, or some kind of pair + gutshot + fd combo hand, and once in awhile total air possibly. you are overvaluing AT as 2 pair here when really if Stinger is ahead here he could have KQ and still be ahead here. basically AT = KQ here as both are either ahead or behind right now.

I have not played aba. If you have additional information, so be it. As is I call all-in for the 13K.

If you fold, he shows you a bluff
if you call, he quickly flips over the set

conclusion: dont play aba heads up

OK time for results I think. I actually folded. Here's my take: although aba knows that I'd sometimes lead the turn with air, that would just make him more inclined to call the turn with KQ or KJ, not shove. I think his range comes down to any set (yes he can coldcall pre), small chance of AK, maybe AT (but maybe he just calls the turn), QJ, and the only hands that I think I beat, JTd and QTd. The only other possibility I see is JT or QT with no fd, but I don't think he'd push that. As actionjeff and some others pointed out my hand plays pretty poorly against the range I gave.

I think this is very good analysis. This time I had QT of diamonds but I think it was a very good fold considering my range.

it's a good fold because aba would've hit.

You strong turn bet when the scare card hits looks like fake strength to me, I can't see folding here. Lots of pair/gutshots, Tx diamonds.

[/ QUOTE ]

EDIT: You obviously know him, but it seems like your range for his hands is pretty narrow. Floating is not a possibility? Ever just a bluff here? Ever just a pair/gutshot? People live talk themselves into calls, it seems online, people talk themselves into folds.

doesn't that mean you should be shoving this spot with anything, not just very big draws? AT is way toward the top of his range to bet the turn and its a fold so... What am I missing here?
