Who did you get coaching from, if you don't mind me asking?

How important do you think table selection is at SSNL? I know you don't have PT or PAHUD so do you just keep a written fishlist somewhere, or how do you table select?

Do you take a lot of notes on opponents when you play?

What % of your monthly poker profit would you give up to be able to play on Party again?

Are there any 2+2 posters (SSNL and/or not SSNL) that you admire and make sure to read everything they post?

More questions to follow.

can you explain why you dont use PT? seems to me your missing out a bit, especially when 8 tabling.

I tried using pt/pa hud on party for a bit. My computer would crash literally 2-3 times per night. So I just stopped using ps hud. A while after pt screwed up and I just didn't bother to keep trying to fix it(I'm not good at that stuff).

I started killing the games shortly after, so didn't bother getting someone to fix any of it, because I was playing my best poker without pa hud. I think a lot of times people are too concerned with numbers and % a guy raises, etc... instead of just playing poker.

Maybe I am missing out a bit, and maybe I could increase my winrate a bit if I used pt/pa hud, but didn't want to mess with it since what I was doing was working. Basically instead of looking at each guys numbers, I created a style that was very hard to play correctly against for players at $200nl. Not so much auto-pilot these days since some players play better against certain types of aggression I was using, but still works, just change up the lines on use on good players, etc...

Maybe I'll use pt/pa hud sometime in the future.

when are you gonna get an avatar?

when are you gonna watch city of gods?

when are you gonna watch 24?

you gonne come to thailand?

[/ QUOTE ]

avatar- maybe never

city of gods-soon cause you guys tell me its awesome

24- i saw an episode the other day on tv and i would give it a 5/10. some guy was going to set off gas into hotels or something if some guy wasn't killed by a certain time, so the 24 guy killed him. maybe i needed to see all the episodes before this to enjoy it though. from only seeing this one the wire is wayyyyyy better imo. but maybe ill watch a few more and see.

thailand- may book a flight and fly there in a couple weeks. still debating. if not then, i'll wait until after the hot season(april until september from what ive heard), and i'll go in like october.

any ssnlers wanna go if I went in the next couple weeks? roomie and I may go, but still debating if I wanna go in October instead.

At which stakes did you start out at the cashtables ?
(after your sng-experience). I'm in a similar situation right now. e.g. have lots of sng-experience, and beginning to play cash more seriously.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think I started at 100nl for a couple weeks before going to 200nl where I stayed forever basically. I had played cash games before in college though, so had some experience, just had never specialized in them.(kind of playing them here and there, but never learning great strategies or anything- basically self taught until then) Then I hired a coach and it got me going in the right direction a lot faster than I would have been able to go on my own.
