I read that used to happen at Rites of Springs shows. Not so much the band, but the crowd, and Guy and Co. got sick of it after a while. They thought it was starting to get really contrived.
oh, and Thanks! Ever since I moved to Sacto I've been really sucking at expanding my music collection.
