[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] And I forget who he called the greatest inbound passer of all time (Horry maybe?), but it was hilarious when he did. [/ QUOTE ] It was Charlie Ward, which makes it even more funny. [/ QUOTE ] charlie ward won the heisman, i should look up in an interview why he picked bball instead. im guessing he thought he would last longer, more pay, not be crushed etc. [/ QUOTE ] He would have sucked in the NFL [/ QUOTE ] why do you say he would have sucked? his height would have been fine. i dunno how long he would last but "sucked" i dunno. p.s. he was also drafted for baseball |

charlie ward won the heisman, i should look up in an interview why he picked bball instead. [/ QUOTE ] Did he choose roundball over football? I know he went undrafted in the NFL, but I can't remember if that was because he said he'd rather play in the NBA. -McGee |

[ QUOTE ] You mean top 4 ever? No way. [/ QUOTE ] i agree with you, but it seems Rick doesn't. [/ QUOTE ] Just doesn't make sense. Wilt/Shaq/Hakeem are pretty much locks as top 3, however you choose to order them. Can Walton beat out Russell, Jabbar, Robinson, etc. for the 4 spot? I don't think so. |

I don't remember the exact quote but he always declares someone the best at some weird task. He once boldly claimed Robery Horry was the best inbounds passer in NBA history

Dead serious. If I'm starting a team and can pick players from all time, I'm pretty sure I pick Hakeem as my 5.
EDIT: ok I just did some quick research. I think I'm off here. I think that pretty much locks up the top 4 though. Hakeem was a freak. |

To the best of my knowledge, Walton does Clippers games, Snapper does Blazers. [/ QUOTE ] Thankfully, Walton does not do Clipper games. We get Ralph Lawler, who is, seriously, awesome. I don't mind Walton but as I think Tuq noted... small doses. Please someone defend "Walton would be Top 4 centers ever if he had been healthy": Walton NBA Career Stats There is just not enough information to go on: even if you took his best season and kept him consistent for 8 straight seasons, he is prolly not Top 4 centers in NBA history. I've only seen a couple UCLA games and Blazer games on ESPN Classic, and he is very talented but saying he could've been Top 4 ever is tough to defend. -Al |

Sonics Game Circa 1998 "Terry Cummings is an overweight tub of Goo" It is still quoted once a week between me and the three friends I was watching the game with. [/ QUOTE ] Well make sure you & your friends give the correct attribution as David Letterman describing Braves pitcher Terry Forster. |

I personally think he would have been a pretty good NFL QB, as he was far more McNair than he was Ware or Vick. |
