Re: How many people do you trust with your life?
I would probably only trust three people with my life - those three being my parents and my best friend. My brother and I aren't close - as much as I'd like to think he'd take a bullet for me, he'd hesitate before doing so I think. My list would jump to four if I could include my grandmother, but I can't seeing as it would take her a day to comprehend my "jump!" command for her to get in between myself and the bullet. I know in her pre-dementia mind though that she would do anything for me, and I adore her for that.
I would personally take a bullet for many more people that I think would do the same for me. My parents, my brother and sister (10yo, don't expect her to take one for me), my gran (81, would do anything for her), my two best mates, an ex-gf who is now quite distant but have never stopped caring for her, other various family members - I'd probably gladly die for 10-15 of my closest family/friends. |

Re: How many people do you trust with your life?
Great thread and question, Alobar.
I'd normally say there would be six people I'd trust with my life. But when you put it in this situation, that number shrinks considerably. I'm waffling between two and three. I'm 90% sure either of my brothers would take the $10M in this situation... |

Re: How many people do you trust with your life?
I picked 3, my parents and one of my sisters. If the genie actually asked me though, I might just skip the deal altogether and say 0.

Re: How many people do you trust with your life?
I think what we are all forgetting is: Is this tax free or not? People may choose the 10 mil but when they only collect 6.5 it may change their mind.
right now I have 8 pretty good locks, i'm sure if i thought about my friends harder it would go up. |

Re: How many people do you trust with your life?
7, all family. But if actually asked I would probably chicken out if the sum was only 10k. Plus everyone who turned down the 10M would probably expect to get at least half of the 10k, so it's actually more like 5k/person.
