"You're missing the point."

You guys are missing the point. If any of you had been watching Cowboys games lately, nobody would question Irvin's comments.

What most people haven't taken into account is the fact that black people actually are more naturally predisposed for athleticism than white people. It's an uncomfortable fact to acknowledge, since it opens up the door for racist morons to argue for the possibility that white people are intellectually superior (which there is no evidence for), but a fact nonetheless.

So.. Is Irvin's comment really racist when it's a proven fact that black people, in general, are more athletic?

[/ QUOTE ]

Im still not sold on the whole blacks are more athletic deal but we definitely have bigger penises

Michael Richards; calls a black man a ni%%er. This was a term used to oppress blacks while they were enslaved less than 200 years ago.

Irvin < Richards

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't disagree, but "ni99er" has evolved into a term of brotherhood. The connotations of the word have drastically changed over the last few hundred years. In context, of course Richards was way out of line.

I just remembered that in the Seinfeld episode where Jerry gets a TV show the guy they hire to play the part of Kramer is cast as a psychopath off the set.

I think looking at who's developing more technology is just as valid as evidence as who's throwing more balls through hoops in terms of judging superiority.

When Fuzzy Zoeller made a joke about Tiger not serving fried chicken and watermelon at the masters, he had to apologize. If he had to, then Irvin should. (I don't think either one warrants an apology).

Irvin was joking, Richards wasn't. To even compare the two is bizzare.

Richards was joking.
