My pops lives in La Crescenta and I have a friend that lives in Shadow Hills. You're probably in the clear as far as the Korean gangs go -- those kids are most likely wannabe poser gangsters. You won't need to worry about getting shot, but keep an eye out for your Honda/Acura emblems and your car doors [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

This is in the new development off Wentworth. Houses in there started at 800K, three years ago, before they were built. So yeah, it would be weird if those kids were really gangsters, but the whole damn thing is weird. All my dad wants is a place to come home, take a dip in the hot tub and fall asleep in front of the TV, and to have a nice truck to take up north fishing when he can get away for the weekend. He doesn't need this crap. I can just stay away until this blows over (gotta protect my Acura emblems), but this really sucks for my parents. My younger bro (He's 24) lives there, and he's crazy. I just hope he doesn't escalate the situation too much. All his Acura emblems were ripped off years ago.

Stranger,
Keying a car is the same to me as murder - it could be justified to me, but I would never willingly do it. Still, $3200? Wow. I'm guessing they're planning on simply replacing the doors and quarterpanels? In any event, this is another example of car repairs always costing way more than our laymen estimate...
