WTF ref? LOL the linesman clearly raised his flag, but the ref simply followed the play. You then see him turn to look towards the linesman and he slips at the crucial moment and awards the goal anyway. You couldn't make it up! [img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]

the commentary I have said that, since the ball was touched by the korean, the offside shouldn't have been called, and that the referee was correct

The asst. ref's flag went up though. Is the play dead retroactive to when the flag goes up, or does the head ref have to acknowledge it?

I thought it had to be played by a defender, not just touched. A deflection is a touch.

This is incorrect. The ball has to be 'played' by the Korean for that to be correct, touching him doesn't matter. If you believe that the guy played it back, which it seems the ref did, then it should have been allowed. Personally I think it was just a deflection so it should have been called off.
