You said your money was transferred "to another online casino account". Contact that casino NOW and ask them to freeze the account.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is EXCELLENT advice. I did this shortly after I discovered my missing Neteller funds. It's MUCH easier to deposit into an online gaming institution than to get money out. If you act fast you should be able to get this account frozen in time.

I did,

Casino-on-net has informed me that I opened 3 accounts that my money was then transferred into...money was spent on "their" services and is now gone... sorry...

I cannot get Neteller to answer what happened on their end...my account when I try to log on was closed...which leads me to believe they KNEW something strange was going on...

I have turned this in to my bank, and a friend who works for the FBI....

I am at a loss as to what else I can do...

OT -
People need to use different browsers for different purposes. For me, porn and any other shady activities that might lead to a "malicious" website get done on Mozilla with all features (JavaScript, java, etc..) turned off. Normal forum surfing and news reading gets done in IE.

Also, never use the same username/password on a forum that you use in places that could be guessed. For instance a few years back I ran a decent sized website about an online game and just to test this theory I would look in the database at usernames/passwords for my website and try to log in the game with them. Of the 20 I tried, 7 let me in the actual game (No I didn't steal any items or mess with their characters). So if you sign up at some less than well known poker forums/database sites, don't use the same username/password that you do on Party or Stars.

Don't worry xducracer, you will get your money back.

Fact #1: CON will not give you any money back.
Fact #2: Neteller will not give you any money back.
Fact #3: Your bank will have to refund your money as the EFT was not authorized by you. They will probably have you sign an affidavit then put the money back in your bank account.

More OT. Next time you run a site, look out for your users and do not store their passwords as plaintext.

Relax, you put a stop payment on the e-check from your bank, you're fine. The won't charge you for a payment you did not authorize, its as simple as that.

Exactly. Op, take a few deep breaths, and just realize that you will probably no longer be able to use neteller, which is a small price to pay IMO for not losing $1,000.

I had a similar thing happen in the last week

i have two EFT's into my FTP account for 50 and 55 bucks respectively, and then transferred immediately to some guy with the username Sniper19.

However, i think mine is because of a trojan or something because i couldnt figure out any other way someone could find out both my FTP login information and my neteller number/secure ID for an instacash transfer

Seeing what you guys are saying about the two neteller accounts though, that definately looks like a good idea so that it can't happen again

Why does this never happen to people with like 2K posts?

[/ QUOTE ]

because there is a much higher proportion of people with <2k posts?
