I'm all for big men, but are they really so much more scarce than wing men? How much better is Dwight Howard than like Chris Kaman?

big men can have a much bigger defensive impact on the game imo. the mournings, duncans, garnetts, etc. were not only minimum 20/10 guys at their primes, but also key defensive players.

the bowen/artest/battier guys are elite at what they do on defense, but do not have to defend the rim, do not have to guard the pick and roll, and are not depended on to the same degree as a defensive center.

Is it elitist to suggest that someone who has never heard of Dwight Howard should not be allowed to post in NBA threads?

If that were the rule for voting, very few would be allowed to vote.

Good thing this is a private forum or your point may be relevant.
