Not only that, I want to verify something - he says in this post that it's $20 per serial. If you mail him, his response says the following:

---------------------------------

Payment:

$20PER SERIAL.

This is a bit strange, but as i've got a minimum transfer of $30 and no one
can send $10 on neteller we have to do it this way.

Send $50 Via neteller to:

My Neteller Email Address: (XXXXX@XXXX.XXX)

Once you've sent payment please send me an email with the following to
(XXXXXX@XXXXX.XXX)(the address your recieving this from)

Neteller Email address used:
Ammount sent:
Your PRODUCT ID(Shown when you first launch the product):

---------------------------------

So I'm gathering we send you $50, you send us $30 back? Odd... you never say this explicitly anywhere. Can't we just transfer money via PS or another site?

Also, in your mail response the file is zipped, when you launch it is says the following pop up window:

---------------
Please enter serial key, you can get this by mailing (XXXX@XXXX.XXX)requesting payment options, it's $10.
---------------

So... now it's $10??

PLEASE CLARIFY! If you clear some of this up I assure you you'll have plenty of people buying this! Thanks.

If your from the UK you'll notice your transfer via NETELLER is $30 mimimum.

So if your from the UK you cant send me $20, you can only send $30. USA can send $20 i believe however as this programs for everyone i have to make it avalible for all to purchase.

If they cant send $20, they must send $30. However if they sent me $30 i cant return a single $10 as my minimum is $30.

To get around this they sewnd $50 and i return $30.

Simple really.

Accepting payment via PokerStars is against their TOC/TOS and i will not risk my account being banned.

Isn't selling an application to datamine stars against their TOC/TOS?

Default Re: A review of Stars Miner & vendor ...

Hi,

I've waited a couple weeks since I first got and have daily user Stars Miner to report/feedback in response to many such questions. This is an independent testimonial (unaffiliated in any way except as a customer to 'roadtothebiggame') to the useability and integrity of www.roadtothebiggame.com' after data mining 10's of thousands of hands at different levels. I am well experienced with an AHK for Party called FreePHG as well but, as we all know, Party caved in and Stars beckoned me to its site.

1. Bottomoline, Stars Miner does exactly what it says and works completely with PokerTracker & PAHud, a wonderful value for the fee requested.

a. yes, the Neteller transfer to/transfer back is clugey but the vendor was totally upfront and immediate in transferring back the excess fee. This is the one area I would suggest an alternative such as PayPal since Neteller has oppressive processing fees.

2. This is not a fully automated data importing support program for PokerTracker but this is because you need to activate PokerTracker manually to suck in the hand history files saved to a folder (unless I've missed something). I easily adjusted for the data mining convenience since the *.txt files created seem to import quickly into PokerTracker compared to *.hhf files.

3. Since the hand histories are being grabbed out of Stars' Instant Hand History window:

a. first there needs to be about 700 hand histories accumulated into the IHH window before Stars Miner automatically starts grabbing the oldest hand history first and thereafter each newest hand history generated into the IHH window pushes the oldest out of the queue into a Star Miner *.txt file,

b. you can manually gather/grab the hand histories within seconds in the IHH window at anytime by rapidly scrolling down the list using the down arrow key

4. Make sure to read/print out the instructions and screen grabs with notes, under Absolute Miner at the www.roadtothebiggame.com Website, to understand what needs to be done and is happening. I mentally overcomplicated what needed to be done for setup and use but the vendor was immediate and patient with his responses to simplify my approach to reality of setup/use.

5. Expect a handful of error messages for every 500-1,000 hands about hand's that did import into PokerTracker properly. A very small percentage overall and, frankly, I did not think until just now to watch to see if such non-importable hand histories are specific to tables I am actually playing at or only observing or a combo of both but, again, a very small percentage overall.

In conclusion, an excellent vendor with an excellent data grabbing program at a very fair price with immediate support response. And, I am not aware of any alternatives that work this easily at such a reasonable fee.

Good luck!

JHH

Isn't the absolute miner likely to be useless soon since they're supposedly switching to UBs software?
