[ QUOTE ] Do you call a shove on the river? [/ QUOTE ] I would only beat a bluff.. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with your assessment, checking behind on the river is bad... |

Re: JJ vs. thac, turn question
I think raising somewhere (wether it be pre or post flop) wouldnt be bad either.

[ QUOTE ] Do you call a shove on the river? [/ QUOTE ] I would only beat a bluff.. [/ QUOTE ] This is what I was saying above when I advocated a b/f on the turn and river shove. Your calls on the flop and turn looks like a pair with a draw, and when diamonds misses, not much of your range can call a shove. You have a set never, you have a weak queen often, you have a mid pp w/ a diamond sometimes. It's going to be tough for you to call a strong 3 barrel here a huge percentage of the time. |

Re: JJ vs. thac, turn question
thac, out of curiosity what range do you call a c/r turn shove with (I like it a lot less now that I've seen the KQ hand)

Re: JJ vs. thac, turn question
How often do you raise the cbet with a flush draw on the flop? Also, figured a guy like yourself would be more prone to follow baluga, guess not. Pretty good spot for a call though since he's going to lead his monsters on the turn again most of the time.

[/ QUOTE ] I figured like, AZ hasn't seen me raise postflop except for with big hands (dunno how much he's paying attention to hands he isn't in), so raising the flop gets him to fold a decent amount of hands. I also know he can double barrel, so I can underrep my hand by calling. I think I should've raised somewhere though. |

I said in the unl thread that I didn't think crai on the turn was all that bad, because most of your calling range on the flop won't call a turn crai. Is this a correct assessment? It might not be optimal though, which I already accounted for as well |

Re: JJ vs. thac, turn question
OK, so of your total range the only thing you're calling a turn c/rAI with following your line is AQ and the flush draws that you don't raise on the flop with. I don't think that a c/r is as bad as many are letting on, but I'm not convinced that it's +EV yet, esp in a smallish pot like this.
