No, I think you have no idea how many calories are burnt on a 20 mile bike ride by someone who weighs 230 or any other weight.

[/ QUOTE ]

~1500 calories @14-15.9 mph according to this.. 10-12 beers at 150-200 cals = 1500 - 2400 cals.

I guess 245

Default victor road bike challenge

ok so i went 24 30 42 and 35 this week so far. road and drank a bunch of other times too. feeling strong. weighted 215.

realized theres a nice river valley close to where i live. went out there about a month ago and had to walk up one of the hills out of the valley. quite embarassing. since then, i have conquered that hill but i think the other hills are much tougher.

so my goal will be to ride all of the hills out of hte chagrin river valley. http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1110600 its any road off of chagrin river road on the map. when i complete this task i will reward myslef with a new road bike for a couple grand or so depending on how much i dump at the tables. was on a major comeback up 15 but just blew 5k. standard.

btw, i am riding a 1985 12speed fuji old school racing bike. a fatass like me needs more gear so this is challenging.

Damn buy yourself a new bike! I dont know much about bikes that old but my dad has a couple of old schwinns and they weight 50 pounds each. Hills are a bitch.

good job keeping the riding going. you had not posted in awhile i thought you had given up. But you prolly just got lazy posting in a log like i did.

i didnt ride much for 2 weeks bc of sore hamstring then i spent a week kayaking in nh. also did some mt biking up there and realized i suck at mtb mainly bc im not a dumb kid with no fear.

i have a nice mt bike but i fear i am gravitating to roadie.

Get a new bike...in addition to having more gears, since your shifters will no longer be on the downtube, you will ride in the appropriate gear more frequently and put less stress on your knees.

Yeah you cant get a triple no matter what. People will make fun of you.

Mt. Biking is sweet but I never get around to doing it. Takes so much time when I can just jump on my bike and ride road from my house.
