You won't necessarily know that he has those hands if you're just calling, unless his pfr% is extremely low.

I think you played AJ too timid.
I raise AJo from SB with one limper. I think we are way ahead of his range.

How can KQs beat the range of a ss? They play hands like big pairs, AK, maybe AQ. Am I wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't remember the hand exactly and I don't have the vid in front of me, but he was ridiculously short. There was a bunch of dead money in the pot and there was no way I was ever folding KQs to his raise. With the small amount of money he had it could've been any PP and really any 2 face cards.

thanks for doing a video sir.

watching a bit now.

I completely disagree with your thoughts when you 3b 22 vs a shortie. And when you 3b 44 in bvb.

[/ QUOTE ]

22 vs a shortie was kind of difficult, but I think calling is pretty bad there. What would you have done?

Also, I don't remember the 44 bvb hand, but I admit I raise that ALOT. Lots of times I'm sure I don't have to, but I'd much rather flat with 88 than 44.

My image may have something to do with the success I have in 3betting low pp's.

I think a case can be made for this. What about KQo, would you raise that as well?

I used to raise both out of the blinds with 1 limper. At some point I decided it wasn't the greatest and I've just been limping in those situations now. I'm really unsure of what I prefer

I usually raise it up. But since I tend to raise limpers a lot I'll just limp it if I have been doing it a bunch.
Raising the limpers is one of the first things other people pick up on and try to punish you for imo so you have to be ahead in the adjusting game

Why to 3bet small PPs 22-66:
- You gain folding equity
- You don't like most flops due to overcards
- You gain the initiative in the hand
- You can usually put villain on a very narrow range if he calls the 3bet
- You project an aressive imae and tell villain not to steal from you

[/ QUOTE ]

What if he has AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ? (a big hand he is willing to go broke with) isn't it much nicer just to call and try to flop a set? atleast vs weak players? I think you are better off just 3 betting with air than 3betting with a PP since you destroy your set odds by 3betting

[/ QUOTE ]

You don't really destroy your set odds. If he calls you end up in a situation where it's easy to get his stack if you hit. Now, if he 4bets you, THEN you've killed your odds and it kind of blows up in your face. But that happens so rarely to me that I don't think it kills my value enough for me to stop doing it.

The main thing is to not spew postflop if you're going to do this. You have to get a read on your opponent and what he's going to call your 3bet with. Knowing when to cbet is really crucial, and it really depends on your opponent, his calling range, and the texture of the board.

The situation: folded to SB who PFR's. You are in BB with 44. You 3b. He 4b's and you fold.

You said basically in that situation you usually 3b with pp's, sc's, broadways and suited aces. I would much rather call with those kinds of hands (3b'ing occasionally). And save 3b's for premiums and air. (mixing things up of course)

I find it works better for me to take these kinds of hands that can make monsters, see a flop with them, float certain flops, bluff a bit, and use my position to advantage.
