It's funny to see the downfall of 24. It used to be that threads like this were loving 24 and someone would make a two word post of "this sucked" just to be controversial.

i was waiting for a '18 months being tortured in a chinese prison taught me few things....' torture prelude. very disappointed.

This is the weakest season so far.
All great shows eventually have a creative downfall. I was hoping the could hold on a little longer.

Goddammit!! What the hell are the doing to my show?!?

My expectations for the JBPH are fairly straight forward. I understand the Jack Bauer world is a fantasy world so many of the situations are going to be implausible. Let Bauer have his way with some terrorists, give me some awesome plot twists, and stick to the formula.

I'm looking for some good ol' fashioned escapism. I can live with formulaic but this is just lazy.

No need to be jumping any sharks here, plenty of time to get this mofo back on track.

i was rewatching the first season and part of what i liked about that one was the whole attention to the real time aspect of the show with multiple threads weaving together...they seem to have only one real thread going on at once, while making stupid minor threads (ie political crap) in the background

Didn't we all know this was bound to happen? The show had a good run but the concept is just played out.

I'm also very disappointed so far. This is my first season of watching it live, after catching up on the past 5 seasons on DVD. The plot twists this season seemed very forced, re-used, and absurd. I'm sort of embarrassed to be watching it.
