Every chipotle thread that pops up, I always have to put a mention, if you are in Texas, you have to get to Freebirds. The taste of all ingredients is way better.

Yeah, next to the Krieger's on Clarkson. There is also at least 3 others in the metro area. For guids sake though, I believe they've all gone up in the last 6 months.

I am a lover of all Mexican fare and I went to Chipotle for the first time ever last week (downtown Bellevue, WA near the Safeway). It was absolutely terrible. The chips I got were so incredibly over-salted that I threw them out. The tacos were nothing special. Maybe it was just this location? Honestly, I wanted to like it but it was crap compared to the Baja Fresh next door.

On a side note, I send much thanks out to whoever it was who recommended Jimmy John's for sandwiches. The gargantuan J.J. will make a cardiologist rich some day.

Pufchamp.

Qdoba.

Simple visit to chipotle.com sends four - the two I listed earlier, the chesterfield location mentioned and an O'Fallon, MO location.

Anyone want to franchise out a Chipotle?

[/ QUOTE ]

Chipotle is not a franchise. I'm pretty sure it is now owned by McDonalds. (OMG, how can that be true?)

1. Eating there 3+ times per week is NORMAL.
2. Qdoba sucks.
3. Steak Fajita add Pinto.

You do realize that most McDonald's are franchises right?

I go with pinto beans and all self respecting 2+2ers should as well. I mean for heaven's sake they're flavored with bacon! I usually get chicken but sometimes will go with steak. Light hot salsa, cheese, lettuce. Lately I've been getting a fajita with pinto beans. Will try to half steak half chicken next time I go.

I have also been disappointed by Chipotle the last few months. When I first had Chipotle in my area 7 years ago or so it was great. All the ingredients were warm and fresh. Now it seems that the chicken and steak are a bit cold, they've slimmed down the portions, the chicken recipe has changed(used to be spicier), and in several places I nearly always have to wait in line to get my damn burrito.

My order has never been screwed up. It's very easy to see what they are doing and put a stop to it before they do it. The only "mistake" that has ever happened to my burrito is that instead of a little bit of hot salsa they put on half a spoonful or so.
