i want to convert every single person who even had an ounce of sympathy for fgators or "could relate to how bad he runs" in the last 6 months

I used to relate, but then I was saved. Born again, you might say. Since then (June) I've been on a journey of transformation. Maybe there will be a trip report of my pilgrimage when I find my destination...

For now I can say that in May I went almost broke, and at the time I blamed coolers & bad beats for a large part of it. Now I know better, have found & fixed many leaks in my game, and see that even though I still today recieve bad beats relentlessly it doesn't comprise the majority of my results. I (mostly) only lose when I play bad, not when I run bad.

This is a good post, Clayton.

Playing our cards only goes so far. At some point we need to learn to play poker.

IIRC, jman talked about this a fair bit in his CR video. That's one of the thing I took away from it, anyway.

Well writen post and it makes me think about my game, being a marginal winner at 100NL, looking for spots where I can better my play.

Clayton,
Nice post.

More importantly, my name should be replaced with ZBT.

aba doesn't really mix it up postflop. i've watched all his vids and, sadly, took notes on all his plays (this what you do when you have no GF). he doesn't cbet bad flops OOP and value bets his good hands and double barrels, etc. when villain likely can't stand the heat. but i didn't really see any mixing it up. seemed very straightforward, with a lot of folding to aggression (including pre) with marginal hands.

edit: btw, great post OP
