It's a losing play but these guys make up for it by bluffing alot.

More likely it's a losing play, and these guys can't make up for it. Pretty sure Farha and Elezra are losing players in that game in the long run. Would be even worse if they were put at the super tough table.

BTW... from the hands that we were shown, sbrugby lost about $45,000 in the first 4 episodes we've seen.

[/ QUOTE ]

It's ok, I saw him win more than that from Phil Ivey at a 200/400 NL table on FTP at about 2 am. He'll survive.

Ok episode. Wasicka was solid again. No idea what Lindgren is doing in some of those hands [hoping he's good? ]. Is it me or did Jenn overplay that AK? I thought she put in way too much $ b4 the flop after the reraise by aba. Becoming a "station" w/ AK isnt a bad way to play it (in general, in cash games) is it? AK in a ring game is so weak, even if sooted, even if u get the flop she got.

Also, I'm so sick of Laak's schtick now. I kno the guy is tryin to make an eye-opening analogy everytime he's making comparisons, but just STFU and play poker. Otherwise he's okay w/ me.

The Townsend/Elezra hand where Eli has KJ and Townsend flops a Fullhouse. How the hell does Eli not bet the turn when townsend checks? He much be afraid of a flush? Townsend wishes he'd bet the turn there since the river made a 1 card flush. But I'm just surprised elezra was able to get off so cheaply with a monster hand by his standards.

[/ QUOTE ]

I guess he thougth he doesnt beat much. Aba doesnt seem to play K-rags that often.

[/ QUOTE ]

Umm.. then why play KJ at all (a total fish hand). Maybe Eli still remembers going broke with KJ last season to Lindgren.

[/ QUOTE ]Because if he hits his hand and his opponent doesn't flop a full house, then he wins. Perhaps we should be giving Eli credit for making a great read and losing the bare minimum on a hand that many of us would've lost quite a bit more on postflop.

Is it standard to call raises with A-X suited? I see so many people get into trouble with hands like A-5 c in a raised pot, yet I have yet to see any of these guys throw those hands away even after a raise. Are they calling solely for the purpose of flopping a flush/flush draw or trips? Just seems like a losing play over the long haul, but maybe this is a gap in my game as I usually muck them if the pot is raised.

[/ QUOTE ]

Farha,Eli call with A-xo. It's a losing play but these guys make up for it by bluffing alot.

[/ QUOTE ]Eli called a raise with A2os, which I thought was horrible, but perhaps some of these guys believe they play well enough postflop to make up for it.

If beating this game was as simple as throwing away Axs for a raise why arent we all millionaires?
