Pretty much every sports movie has a scene that chokes me up.
Ones that stand out: End of Rudy Remeber the Titans, when superman is in the hospital. The end of Brians Song is REALLY sad The end of Rocky II just about kills me when he screams 'I did it" Oh and pretty much all of Cinderella Man cuts me pretty deep. |

![]() [/ QUOTE ] This scene immediately came to mind. Kirk: Spock. Spock: Ship... out of danger? Kirk: Yes. Spock: Don't grieve, Admiral. It is logical. The needs of the many outweigh... Kirk: ...the needs of the few. Spock: ...Or the one. I never took the Kobayashi Maru test until now. What do you think of my solution? Kirk: Spock... Spock: I have been and always shall be your friend. [Holds up his hand in the Vulcan salute] Spock: Live long and prosper. |

Most people around here say it. I know some people say "play catch" but to me that doesn't make sense as there aren't any rules. I thought "have a catch" was standard |

acoustix,
you play catch, toss the ball around, or throw. You don't "have a catch". Must be a NW US/Canada thing. |

I can't believe no one has said this yet: Dancer in the Dark. I'm choking up just thinking about it. "106 steps" is a tearjerker, and the final scene is brutal. The snap at the end is a little too visceral for me.
Grave of the Fireflies is obviously super sad, and I cried at Old Yeller in grade one but I haven't seen it since so I don't know if it would always make me cry. |

[/ QUOTE ] I live in CT and just about everyone I have ever played baseball with says "have a catch". Since the northeast had a good portion of pompous white men that used terms like "Have a crap" or "have a drive", I can only assume that it's a northeast thing maybe. |
