Re: Songs/bands that are popular that drive you NUTS
I have the same reaction, only to different songs
1. I wish I heard Warren Zevon every week 2. Almost Anything Greenday, except for maybe Brain Stew and Welcome to Paradise 3. Anything Pearl Jam not off of Ten. 4. Almost all of U2 mostly based on my hate for that self righteous prick Bono (except for that song off one of the Batman soundtracks, which never gets played anyway) Most bad Pop music doesn't piss me of nearly as much as any of the above. ps. I also used to hate Bush (the band) but I've grown to like their radio singles. |

Re: Songs/bands that are popular that drive you NUTS
I think its well documented my fleetwood mac hate. But I feel the same way Kipin. If there is a band or song I don't like I will actually change someone else's radio or ask them to change it. I've been bitched at for not respecting other people's choice and forcing them to listen to mine. Hey my music doesn't suck though

It's Your Birthday and that song about my Milkshake Brings all the Boys to the Yard [/ QUOTE ] lol, I was at rock en seine a week ago and sitting down, resting up for the night's headliner when far in the distance I heard Kelis bang that song out. I didn't know Kelis still existed. |

I've said it before, I'll say it again, I hate Rush. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I don't hate Rush, but I don't like them, and I think people who are really into them probably have a screw loose. |

Subdivisions man. It has double meaning. Possibly even triple. Dig it.

Any song from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. [/ QUOTE ] Obviously "Hungry Eyes" but the rest is gold ..pure gold. "Be My Baby" is one of the greatest pop songs ever. As a Canadian I'd like to apologize for the worst band ever - The BareNaked Ladies . |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] wtf is with the Nirvana and Warren Zevon hate I mean, people seriously have that kind of revulsion to [censored] Nirvana? How old are all of you, anyway? [/ QUOTE ] 25. I've heard this music most of my life. Some of it is good, some of it is [censored] awful. Songs like Lake of Fire and All Apologies should get the 'Not suitable for any living thing' designation Mr. Show gave to John Tesh - Kurt Cobain is not Tom Waits, Nirvana is not Eric Clapton, and now I have all these [censored] songs stuck in my head. Heart Shaped Box, still good (maybe). Come as you Are, no. Not at all. [/ QUOTE ] "Lake of Fire" is a cover. Beyond that, yeah, I don't know what to say to you. I still think they're the best and most seminal band of the last 20 years. [/ QUOTE ] I'm aware Lake of Fire is a cover, but it is still a terrible song. Would you agree that maybe there's a possibility Nirvana has been overplayed in the last 15 years, even though you still really like them? |

I like Outkast and think Hey Ya is an incredible song, but I can still admit it's been way overplayed.
