Bad play. They are much more likely morons than thieves.

Did the OP overreact. Definitely yes. Without question. But that does NOT mean that a poker site gets to keep his money. Some of you posting seem to think that a poker site gets to keep his money because he was incredibly RUDE to a simple CS e-mail. Which is f***ed up. Does your bank get to keep your money because one day you were incredibly rude and loud to their customer service for no reason? Hell no. Maybe you were just having a bad day.

Yes, I know off-shore gambling sites aren't banks. So f***ing what. Would you want to play at a site where they keep your money because you were rude? Totally ridiculous. If that were the case, then the site could basically keep your money for any reason.

To the OP. I can't believe that you would be already posting to a forum after one simple e-mail requesting the resending of scans. Wouldn't it have been easier just to resend the PDF first. Maybe a simple e-mail back to them asking why they could not read your sent scan would have been more logical.

By the way, I still think FT will pay him if he would just calm down first.

OP, I have received PDF files not opening before. Only because I still use an old version of Acrobat Adobe Reader. I would suggest sending jpg scans of documents as jpg files are truly universal. Viewable by any browser. Then you don't have to worry about whether the recipient has Adobe Acrobat Reader installed or not. Or the correct version. Scanners are very cheap. You should buy one.

The situation just got resolved- Full Tilt sent an e-mail saying that they are now able to read the pdf document I re-sent and have verified my ID. They were very nice about it- probably nicer than they should have been giving that I lost my temper so badly. However, I have found it to be a very frustrating experience being unable to convince somebody to send me my own money. I've dealt with bad customer service before, but somehow it was more frustrating to me when I jumped through the hoops they put up and was still unable to get my own money (which, by the way- is a good bit more than $400- not sure where that came from.)

While I regret losing my temper, the fact remains that I have nothing but their word that they were able to read the very same document the second time I sent it but not the first. It seems strange that they wouldn't be able to read the same document at first but are now able to, but I guess stranger things have happened- maybe it got corrupted in transit the first time. But the bottom line is that I don't know what the truth is, and so I'll just leave it at that.

If you're a lawyer you would have your paralegal scan your info and save the $5. Do you have a scanner at home? I don't see why you have to have it "professionally" scanned. And, if you are a lawyer do you over react like this in court?
