I felt like a dick a few nights ago when I found out in horror that the French Onion Soup my vegan girlfriend and I ate had beef broth.

[/ QUOTE ]

In my experience French Onion soup is beef broth, some onion, and a bunch of CHEESE.

Your girlfriend ain't much of a vegan, chief.

My gf says it has to smell great and be really high quality ingredients. Go get some organic free range chicken, slice it thin--no fat. Heat pan w/ olive oil, chopped garlic and ginger. Add the chicken. Add soy sauce. Lots of veggies-broccoli, snap peas, carrots, peppers, onion, etc. and make a nice pot of her favorite rice. Plate it up and serve with a nice wine.

Einstein is on the list. He must have come to it pretty late. I read a story about I think it was his daughter, who said she and Albert Einstein used to fight over the goose fat, "bitterly."

But yeah, it's a lot harder to become fat when you eat less fats, and are just in the frame of mind to pay attention to what you're eating, in the first place. When I was a vegetarian, fat just melted off my body, but I didn't lose any muscle.

But there's absolutely no reason to resent someone for not eating meat

[/ QUOTE ]

Who is resenting anybody? Ja's girl isn't interested in meat when it's from mistreated animals. If she's down to try humane meat, what's the problem? It seems like he's just trying to get someone he cares about to try some awesome food.
