[ QUOTE ]
your arguments are completely retarded. 1. you guys dont hit as hard as anyone in that video. 2. most of those videos show REPEATED shots to the chin, so you are [censored] after you throw your punch. 3. in general, lol at any of you guys thinking you can knock mike tyson out by hitting his "glass jaw", get real. Im done with this discussion, its way more effective, since you have a dead on free shot to incapacitate a guy by hitting him in the throat. [/ QUOTE ] Where in the OP does it say that you only get one punch? After you hit him, why not keep on hitting him? If you get a stunner in, you could do some more damage in the few follow-up seconds, maybe enough to put him on the ground. Also, probably temple. Front of the head, and to a lesser extent, the back, are designed to deal with impacts for the most part. The skull is thicker there, it will lessen the blow. The side of the skull is thinner, so there will be less shock absorption. |

[ QUOTE ]
The chin with as much force as I can put into it. Hit across so it turns his head quickly. [/ QUOTE ] This is correct. You want your opponents head to twist so aggressively that the brain "sloshes around" within the skull. The "sloshing around" of the brain is what causes the knockout. The chin is a good place to strike becuase it is attached to the skull but at a distance from the brain cavity. The chin acts like a lever and when you strike it in an across fashion it acts like a lever multiplying the twisting force. If you want to kill the dude then then use the rod, you can hit him in any number of places on the skull and kneck(except the chin) and kill him. Stu |

Stu [/ QUOTE ] Uhg, finally somebody mentions this (though BCPVPWTFBBQ did make a few attempts, albiet less clear). The chin is it simply because it bobbles your brain on multiple axis's. Period. This isn't to say i can knock out Tyson with one hit, but if i tried, the chin would be the best spot to go for. Any solid tag to the chin in any MMA fight (for the most part) results in AT BEST, a disorientated opponent, and usually a downed one. |

Temple. Any mma fan knows this. [/ QUOTE ] How many MMA fights have ended with a KO to the temple? Im positive the chin is where its at. Do you train in any type of striking art? |
