Re: The Play Chip Challenge
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] so why would anyone ever buy play chips? [/ QUOTE ] Because even play chips have value. Somewhat similarly, items from games like World of Warcraft sell for real money. People gain satisfaction out of having 10million play chips, and people gain satisfaction from having pretty armour in the game. All "things" have value of some sort. Traditionally, western capitalist society expresses value in the form of money, primarily since it is easier to exchange money than Uluru Sea Shells, for example. [/ QUOTE ]the correct answer is -"People are effing stupid" |

Re: The Play Chip Challenge
I know a multiple people that have started bankrolls on sites using the million play chip trick. It's not really that different from what Chris Ferguson did at Full Tilt.

Even if this were true, how the hell do you get satisfaction out of something you didn't even accomplish yourself? [/ QUOTE ] Even people who buy things enjoy having them. You obviously don't need to be an ore excavator to like gold jewellery. |

Re: The Play Chip Challenge
Step 1: Buy play chips
Step 2: Sell play chips for more than you paid for them Step 3: Profit! People are practically lining up around the corner to buy them. It's easier than working their way up to the high stakes play money tables. |

[/ QUOTE ] But the difference is that a diamond ring could represent weeks or months of your hard work - a respectable accomplishment. 1 million playchips bought for $10 represents the money you might find in your couch. Hardly any sort of accomplishment. |
