An actual SNG/MTT theory type question....

I've never understood why people like to raise hands like 22-66 in the ~15 BB range from LP, if it isn't a spot where they would be raising any 2 to steal the blinds, and they can't call a shove.

I'd rather raise a suited connector, or even something like Q8o than one of these hands in this blind range (not that I necessarily would).

This is an incredibly vague question, but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on it.

As an example, lets just say you have 33 on the button with 1400 in an MTT, blinds cover, and it's at 50/100. what is your action??

People really overvalue Pocket pairs and Ax. Because they have pairs and have ace high. The any two is an exaggeration because people will still call a lot ,but your point is valid.
In the example you gave I would never fold. Whether I limped or raised t250 would depend on the blinds. Also I would sometimes openshove, but that depends on a lot of stuff.

I have just over 1,700 FPPs with PokerStars.

What should I use them for?

[/ QUOTE ]
Play FPP sats unless you want to buy a crappy shirt that will just collect dust.

Pudge,

I have beaten the 13s on stars for 23% over 1500 tourneys ( that included 100 tourneys where I thought I could beat the turbos and ended up losing and then tilting off quite a lot). Do you think I will be successful (say 15% roi) at the 25s (all 6 max)?

Probably I can't really give a good estimate because I don't know how you play and I have never played 6max sngs.

any "Ah-ha!" poker moments?

[/ QUOTE ]
Ya I probably had tons. The most recent one I can remember was about hand reading. I used to think well I have top pair so go all in. Instead of putting guys on preflop ranges, flop ranges, turn ranges, etc.
