If you don't participate in Thanksgiving, your family talks about you behind your back. Christmas? They get mad for not getting a present of equal or greater value than they gave you. Valentine's? You get to take a guilt trip. St. Patrick's Day? You get pinched. Halloween? Nada. Just turn your porch light off and have a normal evening. The only holiday with lower expectations is New Year's.

Tdarko - Please make a list of other holidays you will rant about so that I can mark them on my calendar. I can't wait to hear you tell us why free turkey and stuffing is goofy.

[/ QUOTE ]

-1 for not reading previous posts

-2 for not explaining where this free turkey and stuffing comes from? is this some government subsidy I'm not aware of?

darko,

I view Halloween as an excuse for woman to dress up in slutty outfits and therefore wholeheartedly endorse this concept.

As far as the kid's part of Halloween goes most of you are probably remembering how you felt about it when you were getting too old for it. My kids are 5 and 7 and I think the 7 year old has already peaked for Halloween.

Handing out toothbrushes rather than candy is a much more scorn-worthy stance than tdarko's imo
