Wow. I am shaken to my very core. I don't know if I can fully comprehend the genius of placing the great Yul Brynnar on this list. I feel like I need to lie down, and contemplate my existance. [/ QUOTE ] I am shocked that others are suprised by this. You need Yul on this. He is the most famous person with his hairstyle ever. |

Re: #5 - Yul Brynner
Yul is the biggest sex symbol on the list so far. Never underestimate the sex appeal of a buff bald man. When my hair starts falling out, I'm going the Yul route.

Re: #5 - Yul Brynner
Right, but in a thread about great hair in Hollywood, he flips the script by putting a guy at number 5 who was completely bald. Not a man with multiple styles, just pure, unadulterated baldness.
It was a sneaky move, and one I didn't expect. Kudos Sam. |

#4 - Johnny Depp
One of America's finest living actors, Johnny Depp blends seamlessly into whatever film he is in. More importantly...his hair looks great in all of them. Johnny Depp is #4 on my "Hollywood Hair Hall of Fame" list.
Johnny Depp in "Nightmare on Elm Street" In his first starring role, Johnny displays impressive hairspray assisted volume in this mid 80's do. Combined with this and "21 Jump Street" hair, 16 year old chicks everywhere begin diddling themselves to his Tiger Beat layouts. Johnny Depp in "Cry Baby" Depp slaps on the Brylcreem in this John Waters flick. On set, he bangs Traci Lords so good that she immediately quits the adult film business and tries to go mainstream. Johnny Depp in "Edward Scissorhands" This bizarrely spiky do perfectly fits the character of Edward Scissorhands. Yes, this is Johnny's real hair. I actually looked this up. Johnny starts screwing Winona Ryder full-time during this gig. Anthony Michael Hall is so extremely jealous that he quits the business for 10 years. Johnny Depp in "Benny and Joon" Depp grows out the hair, and sports similar looks in this and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?". Critics begin recognizing Johnny for his consistently strong work. Coincidence? Does long hair Johnny = Oscar nominations? I don't know. Somebody may need to look into this more closely. Johnny Depp in "Donnie Brasco" Depp goes for the NY wiseguy slick back look, and it works completely. A tremendous departure from his other dos. I'd like to see a comeback eventually. This look really plays up his enviable hairline and fullness of hair. Johnny Depp in "Pirates of the Caribbean" Yeah, its a wig, but he still makes the dreadlocks work. Just further proof that this guy can pull off any kind of hairstyle with aplomb. 40 year old chicks everywhere begin diddling themselves to his US Weekly layouts. Here's to you, Johnny Depp! |
