You should have pointed out that they were all speaking with American accents. But in the future America will have taken over South America, so it all makes sense. Starship Troopers >> K.K. I wanted to turn K.K. off when I saw Jack Black and most of the other humans NOT get crushed by the herd of brontosaurus. But I will never love S.T. because I don't understand why the humans needed to put soldiers on the ground. Couldn't they just send nukes down from space. And why did they have hundreds of large ships in orbit concentrated in one location... easy targets for the bugs that shoot magical light out of the rumps. The 'Want to learn more?' segments in S.T. were awsome.

most people don't have time to read every book that gets turned into a movie...so there shouldn't be any condescendingness from someone who read the book towards someone who didn't read the book...maybe they were busy reading something else?
