Another note:

I've been in the Wynn with drunk annoying 2p2ers a few times, one of show kicked over my chip stack. We weren't close to getting thrown out. I have to assume that you guys were being far worse than we were, and frankly- we were out of line.

[/ QUOTE ]

dids, that night was a placid night.

not kidding.

meanwhile I've played typical live sessions with a couple of friends. Would have a couple of drinks, laugh at the guy who accidentally folded the winnnig hand, etc and they would tell other friends about what a wild and crazy night we had at the good, old casino.

I think my friends need to get out more.

Kudos for everyone in this thread for recognizing that the Wynn was probably not to blame here.

If you have any dignity left after sobering up, you will go back to the Wynn and apologize to Katherine for your boorish behavior.

Another thing that I found a little "telling of the times". When I read the OP and he said he was a high roller and had just cashed for 140k, I was like, "140k, meh."

It just goes to show how sick poker has become stakes-wise. I, of course, have never scored a win anywhere near that #, but I'm so used to railing the FT games and reading about the scores of the Abas and Durrs of the world, that 140k sounds nearly break-even for the night. Sick.

Definitely.

And in a place like the wynn with some $5k+/hand BJ players and some nice Ferrari on sale in the lobby it definitely doesn't seem too high-rollerish

Devo,
I like you. I like your posts. I root for you when I see that you are late in tournaments. And I wish you spent more time in the strategy forums (although I understand that you are a bit busy this month).

That said, you were out of line and the Wynn was totally in the right here. I think an apology to the floor manager the next time you see her would probably go a long way.

All the best,
Steve

Or he could just blog his apology. I'm sure she's signed up for his RSS feed.
