Faulk was nearing the end of his contract and wanted a big payday that St. Louis gave him (7 years $45 million). Instead of paying him a premium the Colts got Edge and used him for the next 7 years. During that time span Edge had 1000 more yards from scrimmage than Faulk (though Faulk did score 10 more TDs) while consuming a significantly smaller chunk of the salary cap. Indy used the 2nd round pick to get Mike Peterson, who was their starting MLB for 4 years. They got Brad Scioli with the 5th rounder and he developed into a starting DE after a couple years. Obviously things worked out well for St. Louis but Indy did very well in this deal. Only one RB trade since (Portis to the Skins) has netted this much or more in return.

I had never noticed that before, but I would have instantly recognized that was the way Jordan chewed his gum. So many great little touches in this commercial.
