It may be unethical, but I don't tell someone DURING a hand once there's significant action that I saw his cards unless it's heads-up. It's far too disruptive. The whole table comes unglued and you become a bad guy. The person who exposed his cards is mad because you saw them and mad because you said something. The other players are mad because you know something they don't. The floor comes over and gets annoyed because he has to make a tough ruling, and then the other players get mad at you and the floor because the floor says he won't make the guy expose his cards, or the player who exposed his cards gets REALLY mad at the floor and you if the floor decides to force him to reveal his cards. It's completely no-win for me.

Spot on.

It may take forever to get to the next hand if the right nits are on your table.

You see Seat 2 continually exposing his cards 'by accident' to the Shark in Seat 3. You are in Seat 7.
Do you complain?

Make a cup (a cave, a hill) out of both of your hands. Place the 'cup' over the top half of the cards. Bend your head forward and lift up the cards just enough for you to see them.

I feel silly doing this, but... A picture is worth a few dozen words...

Thanks, bav. You're awesome!

I was watching Todd Brunson last night & that's exactly how he does it. I was holding the cards horizontal, lifting w/ my left thumb. I'll experiment again and take some pictures too (also feeling silly) if I still think a leaner can see the cards.

See I see a lot of people look at their cards like this and I just don't get it. Anytime I try to I have one blocking the other and it becomes something where I have to double check what I have blah blah. I leave my cards sideways and pull up the top right (from the back) corner with my left thumb and use my right hand to block the view of people on my right. Sorry I don't have a picture handy. I also shuffle chips funny compared to most people so this isn't totally surprising to me.

But if you are sitting next to the donk showing his hand?
Then it isn't?
Or can I have you thrown out for cheating?

Did you miss the 'by accident' part? How is that collusion?

I complain because i dont think its fair. If i am the shark it is their job to complain.
As long as i am not doing anything special to see their cards, i see nothing unethical of looking if the person does not know how to protect their cards

So, to summarize: if you see someone ELSE seeing someone's cards, you complain because it's not fair to YOU. But if YOU see someone else's cards, you don't say anything. Yeah, I call this cheating -- I have a liberal definition, I guess, but it's playing unfairly/dishonestly.
