According to a billboard I saw today thigh-high socks and tiny shorts/skirts are cool for chicks. I don't know much about the socks, but spreading your legs like a little wh00000re and getting your picture taking was always in style, as far as I'm concerned.

I knew guys 7-8 years ago who were wearing girls jeans and knew a TON 4 or 5 years ago when I was going to a lot of hardcore shows, and this was in Columbus OH and Rochester NY, so I have imagine it started a lot earlier in LA and NYC.
