btw, c/r the flop this deep please

[/ QUOTE ]
yeah, I kinda thought he would expect me to C/R a F/D so I wanted to conceal my draw... it might have turned into FPS though

[/ QUOTE ]

depends how aggro you are with each other, but after I posted I thought that he may 3-bet bluff you which would make a shove sick given depth but this is hard to determine without being in the game.

I don't want to have to fold my hand on the turn given my pot equity. That's really the bottom line.

[/ QUOTE ]
But our pot equity sucks...

[/ QUOTE ]
disagree

[/ QUOTE ]
I'm very curious to see what range you put him on here that makes our pot equity not suck.

Of course you don't.

It's quite clear that I completely disagree with his (and your) assessment of the turn call, and he writes me off with a "I don't want to give too much away." I suppose I should just write, "Cool, man! High five!" instead of trying to get him to explain it to me.

I think this player is probably capable of both inducing a bluff to re-bluff shove or to induce a weak value raise that things it should call. If this is the case do you think c/ring the river is good? Given that we got there and it may have induced a bluff shove then maybe it is good but I don't know the ratio that he does with bluffs : houses (I guess he can also do with nf given that you don't ever have a FH here?).

turn play I hate a lot, lead / c/r are both better than c/c

You do realize that you're still a huge dog to have the best hand when you get called, right?

sorry you took this out of context and I thought it was in reference to my preflop play, where I don't want to talk about my complete/3bet and complete/fold and raise/fold ranges, (which seems reasonable) and isn't the point of this to begin with.

no, but we are nit picking about my first instinct over something that I said awhile ago, without putting much thought into it... even so, I can't image its possibly "that" bad.

Well, you are.

I posted a pokerstoving of when you hit a J earlier in the thread. It's pretty similar if we hit a 7, probably a bit worse.

pf fine/standard/sometimes limp/sometimes raise

i think check-call turn is pretty horror for the reasons outlined so far.

playing draws oop vs good laggy opponent deep on a paired board check-calling 3/4 pot bets is never a recipe for profit imo.

Turn is a clear c/f. Turn is a must-call I guess, prefer a somewhat smaller c/r to 1100-1200 so you can fold to a push.
