Re: Phil Gordon slams Helmuth
[ QUOTE ]
maybe hellmuth got his gig so he does not like him? i doubt any of the rating fall had anything to do with hellmuth. gordon does not seem to be loved among the elite tourney guys. i think he is a bit arrogant and the other players probably just see him as a rich dude who is not as good at poker as he thinks. [/ QUOTE ] celeb poker was a pretty bad show but it was somewhat watchable with gordon hosting. hellmuth has the on camera charisma of a cockroach. |

Re: Phil Gordon slams Helmuth
Gordon attacks Hellmuth because he knows that if Hellmuth attacks back no one will really care since no one really pays attention to the substance of what Hellmuth has to say anyway.
Gordon is so desperate to be accepted among the top pros as a top player and has been unable to do so with his poker play so he has to resort to peripherals -- such as making snide comments about people like E-Dog and Hellmuth. It was stupid for him to comment on E-Dog but again, no one cares about Hellmuth. Gordon is a petulant man-child. Always craving attention and pissed at the world because he cannot get respect from those he considers his peers; guys like Ivey, Negreanu, E-Dog, etc... who view him as not even close to being a peer. The upside is that when he does snap it will probably be against an even bigger d-bag like Humberto. That will be fun to watch. |
