Either make the call/fold decision based on the strength of your hand relative to your distribution or play the mind-reading game.
Example of mind-reading subthread: A: Fold here because he thinks you will never fold JJ/QQ. B: No call because he thinks you will fold those hands. Or maybe if you get lucky someone will post: A: I have played ~2 million hands with Nick and I know that he has a boat here every time. I like reading these tough hand posts because they make one think... but I don't really understand what the posters are looking for beyond something like "people love to bluff in this kind of spot" or "people rarely bluff here". The thing that makes this particular hand so tricky is that you accidentally underbet. So now it's very difficult to say what your actual range is or, for the purpose of mind games, what he thinks your range is. Personally I think I would make a lot out of the fact that he raised so small when you could have a flush draw. To me that looks like a monster or air so I would be inclined to call flop and play the guessing game on the turn. |

So, am I correct to assume that you fold (most likely) or shove to his check/raise becuase you haven't said you called and provided a turn card and action for more analysis

Good thinking players don't make light preflop resteals UTG+1 when they think UTG is weak. lol
Whoever said that that the takeover range is wider because the UTG's preflop bet is interpreted as weak is a donk. |

Of course they do. Good thinking players make any play that they feel is gonna be +EV.
Weak predictable players don't make this play. |

post deleted, the explanation as to why I think the takeover's preflop raise is not a steal/light has little merit to the discussion of the hand.
and overall it was just to basic to argue despite that I KNOW so many players in this forum still have huge fundamental errors in this very basic understanding. |

2) This is real basic but, repoping light with a hand like 56s, T9s, KQo ( i assume this is what you mean by the relative term of: light) is awful when there is 6 people left behind to act, especially being out of position to the majority. [/ QUOTE ] LOLZ!!! |
